This report has as central theme the non structural partition walls employees in residential buildings. More specifically, elaborates on the theme of insulation, thermal and acoustic, as well as resistance to fire to be met by partitions walls. For this, it makes reference to the theme of the essential materials of non-structural partitional walls, as are the plaster, which is the main raw material for manufacturing the plater-cardboard plates. In addition, other materials that comprise it, are also detailed, as are the mineral wool and profiles of galvanized steel. Then it analize the issue of noise insulation, whose main theme is sound, naming their characteristics, the various levels and how to reduce the power of sound waves. After that, it goes to the issue of thermal insulation, with an emphasis on the heat as a hub and the various ways in which this can be transferred. Subsequent to that, it names the current rules for the various materials that make up the non-structural walls, as are mineral wool and plaster-cardboard plates. It is also commented on the general conditions to be met by residential buildings in terms of acoustic insulation, thermal and fire resistance to the non-structural walls. Finally, there are introduced various constructive solutions that compliant termoacústiccs as fire resistance, for the non-structural walls, culminating with the implementation of these solutions in a residential building.
