1.1 Scope and Purpose This thesis verifies the hydraulic capacity of the existing health infrastructure in the stages of production and distribution of drinking water and treatment and disposal of wastewater Aguas San Pedro S.A owns in the city of Concepcion and Coronel communes of San Pedro de la Paz, VIII Region, in order to identify its health infrastructure deficit due to the incorporation of new customers to its operational territory for a period of 15 years (period 2014 -2029) and, if necessary, propose waterworks expansion to enable the health service to provide continuity to its customers. 1.2 Technical Approach With growth statistical information that manages the company with regard to the incorporation of customers and its operational territory consumption during the past five years, 2009-20013 period, consumer demand is projected with a planning horizon of 15 years being the 0 year 2014 and year 2029 15. With the screening of consumer demand (m3 / year) and customers (cl), obtained from the statistical information of the company for the last five years (2009-2013), the unit consumption (m3 / cl / month) are set endowments and consumption (Lt / person / day) which is the basis of the projected flow of production and distribution for the period 2014- 2029, required to check the hydraulic capacity of the existing health infrastructure in the field of study. The health infrastructure holds for the stages of production and distribution of drinking water and treatment and disposal of sewage which considers broadly into their existing infrastructure deposits of raw water, treatment plants for drinking water, pipes, lifting plants, ponds drinking water treatment plants and sewage where each unit installed with the projection of demand per year 15 (2029) compares capacity. 1.3 Conclusions and Recommendations The deficits detected in the previous hydraulic analysis, give the necessary guidelines to invest in waterworks enlargement. A schedule of investments with a planning horizon of 15 years is from the investments needed to supply the hydraulic deficits detected in the analyzed units due to the addition of new customers. Also, an economic evaluation of the investment plan is made, that means the NPV and IRR indicators, allowed the company Aguas San Pedro S.A. analyze the return on investment versus incorporating customers.
