This work seeks to understand and measure the relationship between the de gree of technological adoption, the purposes of use and benefits perceived by representa tive construction sites of the Chilean industry. Technological adoption is understood as the implementation and use of computer software and mobile applications. Three areas were considered: communication, visualization and planning. These areas are each com posed of three technological systems: The first includes messaging, mail and videocon ferencing. The second includes 2D plan viewers, 3D models and 4D models. And the third one contemplates non-specific, traditional and collaborative technological planning sys tems. The analysis was carried out by means of a case study of construction projects for high-rise and extension buildings. A total of 106 participants from 20 projects were sur veyed. These participants had to work in the technical office, construction administration, site management, construction supervision and quality office. In addition to collecting in formation through the survey, the projects were also characterized. With this information, relationships between the variables of the projects and their participants are sought. Among the results obtained it was demonstrated that a higher level of adoption and amount of use of digital systems in the construction industry provides a greater perception of benefits for its users. In specific terms, it was found that the most used technologies were those pertaining to the communication area and that their use varies within the dif ferent specialties for each project, being those of the technical office and site administra tion the ones that use them the most. In terms of support technologies, the intensity and extent of the use of messaging, mail and 2D plan viewers stand out, proving at the same time that the most advanced technologies within this analysis, such as 4D model viewers, are not yet used in the national industry.
