La falta de planificación en los espacios turísticos afecta en la sostenibilidad ambiental y
lleva al turismo masivo, por lo que en esta investigación se analizó un caso exitoso de
gestión, el modelo de gestión de turismo sustentable aplicado en el Parque Las
Turbinas, un parque privado que comenzó a ser administrado en el año 2019, y que
previamente se encontraba afectado por la falta de planificación y gestión en el lugar y
por el turismo irresponsable. El estudio se fundamenta bajo un enfoque cualitativo y un
alcance de estudio de caso, lo que se desarrolla a través de la revisión de documentos
históricos y con entrevistas a 10 servicios turísticos locales y a 4 autoridades públicas
locales. Un 66% de los entrevistados declaró que la gestión en el PLT impactó de
manera positiva, impulsando la economía local y aportando en la conservación de los
recursos y atractivos naturales. Esto demostró que la administración actual del PLT
gestionó el territorio transformando el lugar y dejándolo apto para el desarrollo de
actividades de turismo sustentable y ecoturismo.
The lack of planning in touristic places affects environmental sustainability and leads to mass tourism, so in this research a successful case of management was analyzed, the sustainable tourism management model applied in Las Turbinas Park, a private park that began to be managed in 2019, and that was previously affected by the lack of planning and management, and by irresponsible tourism. The study is based on a qualitative approach and a case study scope, which is developed through the review of historical documents and interviews with 10 local tourism services and 4 local public authorities. Sixty-six percent of those who were interviewed stated that the management of LTP had a positive impact, boosting the local economy and contributing to the conservation of natural resources and attractions. This demonstrated that the current administration managed the territory, transforming the site and making it suitable for the development of sustainable tourism and ecotourism activities.
