This work is related to the study of a new system that has been conceived for the domiciliary instalation of drinkable water. The system is intended to compete with the traditional systems which for this instance are used in Chile as much as other countries of the world. The current analysis begins with a theoretical description of the RAUHIS 311 system, assembly of domiciliary instalation of drinkable water of German origin, composed by reticulate polythene pipes (PEX) and brass acesories, elements that are joined together by the sliding cap technique. It is followed by the technical treatment of the drinkable water instalation itself, this means to analyze and describe the way of designing, assembling and testing the system components in a individual and general way. Then, a cost comparition was done for the materials and equipment involved in different kind of proyects and the manpower performance of the instalation of the present system as well for the traditional system of a drinkable water. It is important to mention that in all of the stages steted abo ve, the procedure was made in such way that a comparison between the domiciliary drinkable water system mentioned in the next could be possible, and finally, and according to that, develop the corresponding conclusion and comments that, according to the author, are inferred from the topic.
