By means of this title memory project it is intended to establish and compare the technicaleconomic costs that the implementation of the drilling systems applicable to the Sublevel Stoping method of exploitation would entail, to recommend and offer a variety of possibilities trying to optimize costs. For its possible implementation in the "El Dorado" mine, more precisely in the N-S vein, which contemplates the exploitation of iron minerals and is located in the IV Region of Coquimbo, Limarí province, Ovalle Commune, at almost 5,5 kilometers from downtown. By virtue of the foregoing, a methodology divided into stages will be applied, which begins with the determination of the exploitation method by which said vein will be exploited, taking into account the geological, economic and regulatory conditions applicable to the project, with such to be able to determine the possible applicable drilling systems and their respective diagram, in order to finally culminate with a projection of their technical and economic feasibility, in order to determine the profitability and application of the systems. Drilling is a key process within any mining operation, which is why its global understanding is necessary to minimize the costs of operations. As a result of this problem, an analysis of the firing diagram is proposed to use and then analyze the possible improvements and find the optimal method to solve this situation. Finally, a series of equipment for underground drilling is proposed, with the aim of obtaining a range of possibilities when defining a way of working, which favors both the economy, as well as the design of the exploitation method, the safety of the workers and everything that comprises the unit operations of the process. These rigs offer a wide variety of feed lengths, positioning configurations, hammers, and optional automated features for underground production drilling and face drilling for mining blasting and tunneling.
