Abstract
The following thesis to qualify for the degree of Bachelor of Letters with mention in Literature, addresses as the main corpus the novel Carne de perra (2009) by Fátima Sime. Through this analysis it is verified the predominance of a female self in a permanent identity crisis, product of a violent past that constantly torments the protagonist, who tries to rebuild herself through her fragmented memory. This post-dictatorial Chilean narrative reaffirms the female subject as a subordinate entity within society, which not only pays the consequences of belonging to a minority group in the hierarchical scale of social powers, but also reveals the harsh reality of how contexts and chronotopies in which she fluctuates strongly influence her existence, where there is nothing left but to ensure that it resists day to day
