Abstract
This present proposal covers the problems there are today about the lack of environmental awareness in the population and the lack of care and relationship humans have with the environment. This research argues as to relate the content relating to nature and social problems present in the curriculum of MINEDUC (Ministry of Education) with Protected Wildlife Areas (PW A), creating a link to create awareness, protection and conservation of the environment through various outdoor activities. The methodology used for this purpose was qualitative, in which the objectives of the educational programs of MINEDUC in seventh grade were selected and further interviews and surveys with teachers and students of the school "Liceo Experimental Manuel de Salas" were realized to plan the alignments of learning from both institutions. Besides a collection of records, interviews with key informants and field gathering information regarding the Clarillo River National Reserve were performed, to characterize the area and verify the possibility to realize activities on-site. This place was selected for the development of the proposal for proximity to Santiago, infrastructure, implementation and security, allowing the realization of outdoor activities. The results revealed that it is possible to relate the educational content in a PW A dynamically, incorporating knowledge of children's awareness, conservation and environmental stewardship to addressing sustainability through environmental interpretation with educational activities outdoors.
