Resumen
La siguiente investigación, plantea como objetivo general Analizar la relación entre el Desempeño Ocupacional y los significados que los adultos con Trastorno de Déficit Atencional le atribuyen a su etiqueta diagnóstica. El estudio se desarrolla desde una metodología cualitativa y el paradigma que lo sustenta es el constructivista. Se utiliza como instrumento de recolección de datos la entrevista semi-estructurada a cuatro adultos entre 18 y 60 años, hombres y mujeres, que fueron diagnosticados con el Trastorno de Déficit Atencional por un neurólogo de la cuidad de Viña del Mar, los cuales estuvieron de acuerdo con el consentimiento informado. En lo que respecta a la técnica para el análisis de información, es por medio del análisis de categorías, y en sus relatos, a modo de resultados, se destacan las implicancias positivas y negativas del diagnóstico en sus cotidianidades, tanto en las actividades de la vida diaria básicas como instrumentales, y cómo estas son influyentes en los diversos contextos en los que se desenvuelve cada uno.
The following investigation aligns with the general objective and suggests that there is a general relationship between occupational performance and the feelings that adults with Attention Deficit Disorder attribute to their medical diagnoses. The study is developed from a qualitative methodology, and the paradigm it supports is the constructivist The method of data collection is through semi-structured interviews of 4 adults between the age of 18 and 60. The participants included both men and women who were diagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder by a neurologist in the city of Viña del Mar and gave informed consent for this study. In regards to the technique of information analysis, it is through analysis of categories and participant narratives that the positive and negative implications of the participants' diagnoses are shown. In addition, their basic daily life activities are also used as instruments of information analysis to show how these factors are influential in the various contexts in which they unfold.
