Resumen
En este artĆculo analizamos la historia del baile chino de Iquique en funciĆ³n de dos elementos que nos parecen interesantes de destacar. El primero dice relaciĆ³n con el desplazamiento de este baile al Norte Grande y su posterior arraigo en la ciudad. El segundo, con que, en ese proceso, se han combinado muy bien dos elementos identitarios: el nacionalismo chileno y la identidad regional tarapaqueƱa. En este anĆ”lisis, ademĆ”s explicitamos los vasos comunicantes que se produjeron entre las dos fiestas religiosas mĆ”s grande del norte de Chile: Andacollo y La Tirana.
In this research we analyze the History of The Iquique Chinese Dance in the role of two elements that we find interesting to stand out. The first one mentions the displacement of this dance to the North of Chile and its subsequent popularity in the city of Iquique. Immediately it is to empahasize that during this process two identity elements have well been combined: Chilean nationalism and the regional identity of Tarapaca. Throughout this analysis we are also interested in specifying the communicational links that have been produced between the two most important festivities in The North of Chile: Andacollo and La Tirana.
