Esta investigación ofrece información sobre las diferencias psicosociales existentes en los
alumnos de Psicología que eligen distinto enfoque psicológico del área clínica. Se
pretende aportar información sobre la especificidad de la Psicología, para la
construcción de perfiles profesionales que propone la CNAP a las universidades,
específicamente las que imparten la carrera con especialización en Clínica.
Se problema/iza que la malla curricular especializada, junto a la complejidad de las áreas
y enfoques de la carrera, hacen dificultosa la decisión del alumno que postula
actualmente a Psicología. La información de este trabajo pretende aminorar esta
problemática.
Se ha realizado un estudio cualitativo con modalidad focus Group, con 6 alumnos de
último año de la carrera. Los hallazgos certifican diferencias en los alumnos que eligen
distinto enfoque psicológico, principalmente en la forma de referir y evaluar las
experiencias, que se correlaciona positivo con la visión de la corriente elegida.
Como factores de influencia de esta decisión están: Los profesores, el campo laboral y la
información equitativa entregada en la formación profesional. El grupo, alude
características diferenciadoras en la manera de comportarse de cada psicólogo que elige
un enfoque psicológico.
Este estudio ofrecerá también, distinciones de los alumnos en aspectos como:
representación del rol de Psicólogo Clínico en la sociedad actual y cualidades
imprescindibles que debe poseer el Psicólogo para la práctica clínica.
The present investigation offers some information about the existing psychosocial differences between the Psychology students who choose different psychological approach among the clinical area. It supplies information about the specificity of Psychology in general contributing to the construction of professional profiles proposed by the CNAP to the universities, specifically to those who impar! the specialization in clinical psychology. It focuses on the fact that the specialized curricular design, in addition to the complexity of the areas and focuses in Psychology, hinders the decision psychology students have to take. The information provided by this investigation is supposed to diminish this problem. A qualitative study based on focus groups was realized with 6 students attending to the /ast year of their period of studies. The finds certify the existence of differences between the students who choose a different psychological approach, mainly in their way to refer and evaluare the experiences, which corre/ates positively with the vision of the chosen theoretical stream. There can be distinguished the following factors of injluence: the professors, the professional field and the equitable information provided during the professional educa/ion. The group mentions to distinguishing characteristics concerning the behavior of any psychologist who chooses a certain psychological approach. This study a/so ojfers distinctions in between the students regarding the representation of the clínica/ psychologist in the actual society and indispensable qualities a psychology should possess if he intends to work clinically.
