Resumen
La sociedad del conocimiento planteó nuevos desafíos en educación, entre ellos, una nueva configuración psíquica de la personalidad del ser humano. Por esto, se debieron repensar muchos de los postulados con que se estaba trabajando, entre ellos, el concepto de formación. Así, definir el concepto de formación apuntando a sus principales características y requerimientos fue fundamental para reestructurar los lineamientos generales de la práctica educativa. Desde la mirada científica y enfocados en el aprendizaje desarrollador, entender la educación como el objeto de estudio de la pedagogía es de suma urgencia en el contexto de las escuelas chilenas, comprendiendo que la formación de la personalidad del ser humano es un proceso multifactorial, sistémico e integral, en el que se debe enfatizar en la conducción consciente del desarrollo del hombre en relación a sus capacidades y destrezas para formar un individuo consciente de su realidad, humanizado, socializado, capaz de pensar y reflexionar por sí mismo, es decir, emancipado.

As a result, several of the proposals that were used had to be rethought; among them, the concept of training. Thus, defining the concept of training aiming at its main characteristics and requirements was essential to re-structure the general guidelines of the teaching practice. From a scientific point of view and focused on the developmental learning, understanding education as the target of study of pedagogy is extremely urgent in the context of Chilean schools, understanding that the human being's personality training consists of multiple factors; systemic and comprehensive, in which it is important to emphasize the consistent managing of the human being's development in relation to his capacities and skills, to shape/train a subject aware of his reality, humanized, socialized, able to think and reflect by himself; therefore, emancipated
