dc.description.abstractEl propósito de esta tesis es el análisis literario de tres novelas: The Robber Bride, Alias Grace y The Handmaid's Tale, obras de la escritora Canadiense Margaret Atwood. Ella ha sido reconocida con los premios más importantes, tales como el Arthur C. Clarke, Príncipe de Asturias y Govemor General' s A ward, entre otros. La escritora logra incluir el feminismo en todas sus obras, no importando cuan diferentes sean la una de la otra. Los análisis de estos libros fueron hechos bajo esa mirada, de modo de reforzar como ella proyecta y construye el feminismo en todas sus novelas. Con el fin de lograr esto, se hizo una investigación en diversos aspectos, tales como: análisis y comparación de los personajes principales, el tema principal por novela y las características en común entre los libros. Al irse desarrollando estos temas, diversas similitudes salieron a luz, haciendo evidente que las tres novelas estaban entrelazadas entre sí en más de una manera. Margaret Atwood escribe con tanto detalle y devoción, que el lector puede entrar a la mente de los personajes y entender sus personalidades, a través de los cuales ella expresa su punto de vista feminista.es
dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this thesis is the literary analysis of three novels: The Robber Bride, Alias Grace and The Handmaid's Tale, works of the Canadian writer Margaret Atwood who is widely known for her feminist literary work. She has been recognized with the most important awards, such as the Arthur C. Clarke, Prince of Asturias, and Govemor General's, among others. The author managed to include feminism in aU her works, no matter how different they are from each other. The analyses of these books were made under this characteristic, in order to reinforce how she projects and constructs feminism in ali her novels. With the aim of achieving this, an investigation was made on diverse aspects such as: the analysis and comparison of the main characters, the major theme per novel, and the common characteristics among the books. As the subjects were developed, several sirnilarities emerged to the surface making it evident that the three novels were intertwined to each other in more than one way. Margaret Atwood writes with such detail and devotion that the reader is able to enter the minds of the characters and understand their personalities, througb which she expresses her feminist point of view.EN
