Estudio desde la experiencia de jóvenes en situación de discapacidad intelectual, respecto a su rol como estudiantes egresados de educación superior

Resumen
La presente investigación es de carácter cualitativa con un enfoque descriptivo, cuyo objetivo fue analizar las experiencias en relación al rol de estudiante de tres jóvenes en situación de discapacidad, que egresaron en el año 2019 de un programa de habilidades laborales de educación superior ubicados en Viña del Mar, con un promedio de edad de 23 años. La información recopilada, se llevó a cabo bajo una entrevista semiestructurada, con un paradigma fenomenológico.
Como resultado de lo investigado, se puede evidenciar en cuanto al rol de estudiante, los jóvenes le otorgan una gran relevancia personal a esta ocupación, ya que esta fue muy significativa en sus vidas. Sin embargo, respecto a la malla curricular, encuentran necesario incluir más asignaturas que potencien el deporte y la actividad física. En cuanto a las necesidades que surgieron durante el proceso, se enfocan principalmente en la falta de información que les pudieran facilitar dentro de la institución en la que estudiaron. La ocupación de estudiante, para ellos, es importante y significativa al ser personas en situación de discapacidad intelectual, adquiere una mayor distinción porque al ingresar a la Universidad es una meta cumplida. Además, gracias a este proceso ellos pudieron generar redes sociales y formarse como un profesional.
This research is qualitative in nature with a descriptive approach, the objective of which was to analyze the experiences in relation to the student role of three young people who present in common a situation of intellectual disability, who graduated in 2019 from a higher education program located in Viña del Mar, with an average age of 23 years. The information collected was carried out under a semi-structured interview, with a phenomenological paradigm. As a result of the research, it can be seen in terms of the role of student, young people give great personal relevance to this occupation, since it was very significant in their lives. However, regarding the curriculum, they find it necessary to include more subjects that promote sport and physical activity. As for the needs that arose during the process, they mainly focus on the lack of information that can be done within the institution in which they studied. The student occupation, for them, is important and significant as they are people with intellectual disabilities, it acquires a greater distinction because entering the University is a goal achieved. In addition, thanks to this process they were able to generate social networks and train as a professional.
