segundos promediaron 15.62 Mpa y 24.76 Mpa, respectivamente, encontrando
The study evaluated how the acid etching time affect the shear bond strength between two adhesive systems. lt was evaluated tree differents etching times: 5, 1 O and 15 seconds and it was used a single-component adhesive system as a selfetching. The porpuse was to compare the adhesive strengths. Materials and Methods: 142 bovine theeth, mandibular incisors, cut at coronal levels to expose healthy dentin, and those were assigned to seven groups (six n=20 and one n=22) according with the orthophosphoric acid time exposure at 37% (5, 10 and 15 seconds) far Adper Single Bond Universal and Adper Single Bond 2 and as self-etching far Adper Single Bond Universal. AII the treated surfaces were bonded with compase resin (Filtex Z350 3M) and after 48 hours they were tested to the shear bond strength with the Micro Tensil Tester (BISCO) machine at a 1/mm/minute speed. AII the data was analized with the ANOVA test and the Scheffe's Test. Results: far Adper Single Bond 2 and Adper Single Bond Universal, far the 5 second acid exposure they avaraged 6.69 Mpa and 9.23 Mpa ; 10 seconds 14.48 Mpa and 17.06Mpa; 15 seconds 15.69Mpa and 24.76Mpa respectively showing significant differences between times for both groups. The shear bond strength far the Adper Single Bond Universal used as self-etching avareged 2.98 Mpa, showing significant differences far all the groups p<0.0005. Conclusion: Acid etching time prior influences on the shear bond strength adhesives, and Adper Single Bond Universal is superior when the dentin is previously etched by orthophosphoric acid.
