Resumen
Los proyectos de construcción, generan, la producción de elementos constructivos de
hormigón, albañilería, acero, estructuras de madera entre otros, éstos siempre se
encuentran ligados a determinados valores de solicitaciones calculados inicialmente en
el proyecto. Sin embargo, durante la vida útil de la estructura, variadas circunstancias
pueden causar que las hipótesis iniciales del proyecto dejen de ser válidas.
Por lo mencionado en muchas oportunidades se tiene la necesidad de aumentar la
capacidad resistente de algunas estructuras, para lo cual existe un nueva tecnología en
el mercado, se trata del sistema liviano en base a fibras de vidrio combinadas con
resinas, el cual es apto para su empleo, en el refuerzo y / o reparación de estructuras
del tipo no destructivas, tales como: columnas, vigas, losas de hormigón en edificación, o cepas, vigas, losas de hormigón en puentes, albañilerías, pilotes de hormigón en estructuras sumergidas, chimeneas, viaductos, estanques, y
estructuras de madera.
Este sistema o técnica, consiste en fibra de vidrio que se impregnan con resina epóxica
de alta calidad para formar un laminado, que se adhiere externamente al elemento
estructural que será reforzado y/o reparado, para así aumentar su capacidad de
absorción de esfuerzos.
The construction projects generate the production of concrete, masonry, steel, wood structures and construct elements, among others, that always are related to specific solicitations values calculated initially in the project. How ever, during the life of the project, many circumstances could discredit the validity of initial project hypotheses. For the mentioned, in many occasions we have the necessity to expand the resistant capacity of some structures, for which there is a new technology in the market. It is the light system based on fiber glasses combined with resins, which is apt to the reinforcement and the reparation of non-destructive structure, such as: columns, beams, concrete slabs in construction, pier of an arch, beams, and concrete slabs in the bridges, masonries, concrete pile in submerged structures, chimneys, viaducts, pond, wood structures. This method or technique consists in glass fiber that are impregnated with epoxie resin of high quality to create a laminate, which adhere externally to the structural element that will be reinforced and/or repaired, and in this way expand its efforts absorption capacity.
