In the present study, we will explore how English as a foreign language (EFL) senior business professionals’ ideal L2-self motivates them to learn the language through selfefficacy. Similarly, we will identify other variables that take part in the process, such as selfconfidence and self-esteem. A qualitative research design was approached having open ended interviews with 10 EFL adult learners. Results reveal that senior professionals can be highly influenced by the ideal L2 self when learning L2. Moreover, when they are equipped with high levels of self-efficacy, self-confidence, and self-esteem, the outcome could be promising. This investigation was intended to be a contribution to EFL for business professionalses
