Introduction: Cognitive stimulation (CS) is classically conceived as part of the intervention process in older people with pathological aging. In this sense, the population with dementia or cognitive impairment tends to be the focus of interest for the use of CS. Likewise, the general objective of CS is oriented to work on aspects such as memory, attention and executive function. However, despite the existence of studies focused on investigating the effects of CS on cognition, its impact on linguistic-communicative skills remains an enigma, especially in the older adult population with normal aging. Objective: The objective of the present qualitative systematic review is to analyze the effectiveness of early speech-language CS on linguistic-communicative skills in older people with normal aging. Methodology: The qualitative systematic review was carried out considering studies from Web of Science, Pubmed, Epistemonikos, Scielo, Redalyc, Plos and Wiley Online Library databases between 2011 and 2021. Only randomized controlled clinical trials (RCTs) and systematic reviews with and without meta-analysis (including or not RCTs) were included, considering articles in Spanish, Portuguese and English.
