dc.description.abstractObjetivo: El objetivo de este estudio es evaluar y comparar la capacidad en selección de artículos sobre trastornos temporomandibulares entre docentes y alumnos de la Universidad Andrés Bello, mediante el uso de la plataforma L•OVE (Living Overview of Evidence). Materiales y métodos: Se evaluaron 191 artículos en TTM los cuales fueron obtenidos mediante la plataforma L•OVE, los cuales fueron cribados por un grupo de docentes y otro de alumnos de la Universidad Andrés Bello y comparados con la decisión final de incluir o no dichos artículos. Resultados: De los 191 artículos cribados por los investigadores se incluyeron 138 en el L·OVE, lo que corresponde a un 72,2% del total, mientras que 53 fueron excluidos, correspondiente al 27,8% de la muestra. Sobre la capacidad en la selección de los artículos, se obtuvo un 95% para los docentes y 92% para el grupo de alumnos. Conclusiones: Tanto el grupo de docentes como el de alumnos de la Universidad Andrés Bello, fueron capaces de identificar y seleccionar correctamente los artículos sobre trastornos temporomandibulares en un alto porcentaje utilizando la plataforma L·OVE. Las complicaciones más grandes fueron principalmente al diferenciar otros tipos de dolor orofacial de los TTM o al analizar estudios que toman el bruxismo como parte de este grupo de patologías.es
dc.description.abstractObjective: The aim of this study is to evaluate and compare the ability to select articles on temporomandibular disorders between teachers and students of the Universidad Andrés Bello, using the L-OVE (Living Overview of Evidence) platform. Materials and methods: We evaluated 191 articles on TMD obtained through the L-OVE platform, which were screened by a group of teachers and a group of students of the Universidad Andrés Bello and compared with the final decision to include or not these articles. Results: Of the 191 articles screened by the researchers, 138 were included in the L-OVE, corresponding to 72.2% of the total, while 53 were excluded, corresponding to 27.8% of the sample. On the ability in the selection of articles, 95% was obtained for the teachers and 92% for the group of students. Conclusions: Both the group of teachers and students of the Andrés Bello University were able to correctly identify and select the articles on temporomandibular disorders in a high percentage using the L-OVE platform. The biggest complications were mainly due to including other types of orofacial pain as part of TMD or studies that take bruxism as part of this group of pathologies.en
