Muelle Vergara, located in Viña del Mar, has been used since the XX century for activities related to the export and import of multiple products. Over the years, its reconstruction was necessary due to attrition and lack of maintenance. The basis of this thesis is to present and demonstrate the constructive state of Muelle Vergara, and to draft the technical process of remodeling the infrastructure and superstructure. A compilation was made of the historical background of Muelle Vergara and the previous studies that have been done to determine the state of deterioration, the key concepts were described to understand the technical analysis performed at the Dock and all the elements previous remodeling, giving emphasis to its infrastructure, and the process of reconstruction by element was exposed, pointing out the constructive solutions adopted. Through engineering studies and photographic evidence, it was possible to see the extensive wear in the main components of the Dock, on the one hand, it was observed that the metallic beams in their different dispositions (longitudinal and transversal) presented section losses and cuts, on the other hand, when analyzing the reinforced concrete piles, the wear and detachment of concrete sections was observed, leaving between seeing the steel armor, causing corrosion and deterioration. As relevant information, the grade of the component concrete of Muelle Vergara was determined. In the remodeling process, in heavy construction or in the completion of the Muelle Vergara, new technologies were incorporated which, together with the Chilean construction standards and constant monitoring of the construction processes, generated a work of optimum quality and safety.
