This research will study the importance of energy efficiency in a home, as well as the environmental responsibility of sustainable construction in reducing energy consumption that pollutes the planet due to the excessive demand for coal-fired hydroelectric plants, among others that generate a lot of pollution. Specifically in the energy sector, the research delves into the study of the energy efficiency of 3 residential homes that will be evaluated with the home energy rating (CEV) and the Design Builder software in order to carry out a comparative study of the results of consumption-energy demand in the period of one year. Evaluating the certainty of the national CEV tool compared to the results of the Design Builder energy simulation software. For this comparative study, it is proposed to carry out energy simulations for a year in the 3 homes to know the energy consumptiondemand in (Kilowatts per month, square meter - year and Kilowatts per hour) in the 2 energy evaluation tools mentioned to analyze the % variation in the results. From the results obtained, it is expected to generate proposals for an improvement in energy efficiency within the 3 houses through passive energy design, and to demonstrate the economic savings in consumption and energy demand that are generated by optimizing the house. Initially, some European energy labels from France, Germany and Spain are studied to compare the evaluation parameters of the CEV and leave new parameters for a better energy evaluation of housing in the CEV.
