The following investigation approaches from the political historical sociology, the beginning of the second half of the XIX century in Chile, where the structural transformations defined in the Constitution of 1833, were able to profile both in the formation and projection to a "political class" mounted on a treacherous usurpation of the sovereignty of the towns and of the citizen of that time. However, this "political class" in the dawn of the 1850s, would be questioned by the emerging, but politically inactive, mining elite of Copiapó. This exploratory and interdisciplinary research aims through the sociology of the actor-network and social history to analyze the political constitution of the mining elite of Copiapó. So, it is necessary to introduce theoretical and conceptual proposals that allow through the analysis of the actants, networks and references, to define that social and homogeneous circle, I manage to control the political and economic reins, once the rebellions of 1851 and 1859 in Chile are over.
