Adolescence, marked by daring and idealism, requires guidance in its maturation process, with the experienced changes becoming factors that can leave adolescents vulnerable to risks such as substance use, with serious consequences for their development. From the perspective of Occupational Therapy, free time and leisure are crucial for adolescents' well-being. Objective: To analyze the existing relationship between the distribution of leisure and free time based on the affective bonds of adolescents with drug use. Methods: We conducted a rapid systematic review using Pubmed, Scopus, and Web of Science. Articles were reviewed according to strict inclusion and exclusion criteria, such as publication from 2018 to the present, document type being an article, and the language being English or Spanish. Results: Five quantitative articles were selected from the 23 reviewed. It was found that leisure activities and affective bonds can be risk or protective factors in adolescent behavior, especially concerning drug use. Conclusions: There is a relationship between affective bonds and the various leisure activities that adolescents engage in, indicating that the type of these activities can predispose them to risky behaviors, such as drug use.
