The aim of the present investigation was to perform an analytical / comparativa study between three methods of vocal evaluation: Praat Software for objective phonemic analysis, Pediatric Vocal lmpairment lndex (pVHI) that provides parents' perception of their children's voices and the GRBAS perceptual scale for subjective assessment made by field researchers. These instruments allow the information provided by the recordings of the voice in children between 7 and 8 years old. to be compared. The participants were 40 children, randomly selected, between the ages of 7 and 8 years of the establishment "Instituto Presidente Errázuriz" of the metropolitan region, and their parents. This work presents the results obtained from the comparisons between the three methods of evaluation, whose samples were taken during the school week, at the end of the first semester of the 2016 school year. lt is possible to observe that there is a higher correlation between the GRBAS perceptual scale and p-VHI, while establishing a lower correlation between the p-VHI results and the acoustic parameters evaluated by the Praat software.
