dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this research study is to determine the leve] of knowledge and beliefs that college teachers have on brain compatible learning within the context of EFL Teacher Education programs in Concepcion. An adapted version of a Brain compatible learning survey, originally developed by Shelly Klinek (2009), was used as the data co!lecting instrument of this study. A quantitative approach was used with the information gathered from the non-probability sample of 30 college teachers who completed the questionnaire. The results for this descriptive study showed an above average leve! of knowledge of brain compatible learning, given a mean score of 44.36 in a scale that ranged from 12 to 60. Moreover, they also showed a fairly high leve! of beliefs towards brain compatible learning, given the mean score of 51.87 in a scale that ranged from 13 to 65. Finally, there is a significant positive relationship between knowledge ofbrain compatible leaming concepts and how much college teachers value neuroscience and brain compatible learning strategies. It is suggested to perform similar studies that also include measuring the level of classroom practices by university faculty from EFL teacher education programs, not only in Conception, but also in other parts of Chile.es
