Resumen
La presente investigación consta de seis capítulos, el primero da cuenta sobre la formulación general del problema que dice relación con la necesidad de conocer los niveles de participación e involucramiento de los padres o apoderados en un segundo básico con importantes diferencias de rendimiento académico, en este capítulo se dan a conocer algunos aspectos relevantes tales como el objeto de estudio de la investigación que apunta a la efectividad del compromiso de los padres, apoderados o familia que son responsables del proceso de aprendizajes de sus hijos, se presenta el objetivo general que apunta a establecer el nivel de impacto en el logro de aprendizajes y rendimiento académico que produce la participación de padres y apoderados o familia responsable de los estudiantes y objetivos específicos que buscan conocer los procesos de participación de los padres, apoderados o familias responsables y el impacto que este tiene en el logro de los aprendizajes; luego se busca caracterizar las acciones concretas que desarrollan los padres, apoderados o familias en los procesos.
El segundo capítulo se ocupa del marco teórico en el cual se sustenta la presente investigación, fundamentando con aspectos referidos a la importancia que tiene la relación que existe o que debe existir entre la familia y la educación formal, así también en este capítulo se describe los tipos de familias y sus características que es posible encontrar en el ambiente educativo, destacando a su vez el rol, la importancia y los efectos, que tiene la participación de los padres en el ambiente escolar de sus hijos.
El tercer capítulo da a conocer aspectos relacionados con la metodología y el plan de trabajo desarrollado en la investigación, donde además se consigna que la investigación fue realizada en el colegio particular subvencionado Santa Sabina ubicado en la comuna de Concepción, se trabajó con la población de padres, apoderados, profesores y estudiantes que cursan segundo año básico esto realizado en el año 2014, para esto se utilizó una metodología multimétodo, en la cual se combinan enfoques cualitativos y cuantitativos, su diseño metodológico se plantea desde un nivel transeccional descriptivo, siendo una investigación de tipo descriptiva. Para la recopilación de información son utilizados dos métodos, primero un cuestionario aplicado a los padres, el que ha sido validado por un grupo de expertos antes de su aplicación y segundo entrevistas realizadas a profesores que se desempañan en el nivel.
En el capítulo cuarto se presenta el análisis en profundidad sobre los resultados obtenidos mediante cada método. Finalmente, en el capítulo quinto, se plantea un proyecto de intervención con sus fundamentos y justificación, y que atiende a las principales necesidades pesquisadas y de este modo poder revertir la situación que ha sido desfavorable para los estudiantes de segundo año básico y a todos quienes esté involucrado en el proceso. Se explicitan los principales resultados, la población beneficiada, las estrategias asociadas a la intervención los costos de la implementación, la cronología de su implementación y la descripción de su evaluación y consecuente monitoreo.
Finalmente, en el sexto capítulo se presenta la discusión de los resultados, las principales conclusiones; planteando un conjunto de sugerencias y recomendaciones que a la luz de los hallazgos y del mismo proceso investigativo fue posible advertir, concluyendo con un análisis crítico del proceso investigativo mediante la explicitación de debilidades y proyecciones del mismo.
This research is formed by six chapters, the first chapter shows the general formulation of the problem that is related about the necessity to know the levels of participation and involvement of parents and tutors in a Second grade with significant differences in academic performance. In this chapter appears some relevant aspects such as the study object of research that points to the effectiveness of parents involvement, tutors or family who are responsible for the learning process of their children, also the general objective that pretend to establish the level of impact on the achievement of learning and academic performance that produces the involvement of parents and tutors or family responsible for students and specific objectives that look for processes involving parents, tutors or responsible families and the impact that this has on learning achievement; then searching the specific actions developed by parents, tutors or families in the process. The second chapter is formed by the theoretical framework in which this research is based, backed with aspects related to the importance of the relationship that exists or should exist between family and formal education, so in this chapter describes the family types and their characteristics that can be found in the educational environment, highlighting the role, the importance and the effects of the participation of parents in the school environment for their children. The third chapter shows the aspects of the methodology and work plan developed in this research, which also states that the investigation was conducted in private subsidized school Santa Sabina located in Concepcion city, worked with the population parents, tutors, teachers and students attending second grade, this made in 2014, for this a multi method approach was used, in which qualitative and quantitative approaches were combined, their methodological design arises from a transactional descriptive level, being a descriptive research. For the collection of information are used two methods, first a questionnaire applied to parents, which has been validated by a group of experts before of its application and second interviews with teachers who wor in this level. In the fourth chapter presents an analysis in detail of the results obtained by each method. Finally in the fifth chapter shows an intervention project with its reasons and justification, and the main needs researched and to reverse the situation that has been unfavorable for students in second grade and everyone who is involved in the process. The main results are explained, the benefit population, the intervention strategies associated with the implementation costs, the timing of its implementation and description of evaluation and subsequent monitoring. Finally, in the sixth chapter presents the discussion of the results, the main conclusions are presented; proposing a set of suggestions and recommendations for the findings and the research process itself was possible to notice, concluding with a critical analysis of the research process by making explicit weaknesses and projections thereof.
