Las estructuras de contención de tierra son elementos variados, cuya finalidad es la estabilidad de taludes naturales o artificiales. Las estructuras de contención de gaviones es una útil alternativa para contrarrestar esta finalidad ya que es una alternativa económica y simple de construir.
En el presente documento se recopila información acerca del análisis y diseño de estructuras de contención en base a gaviones. Se analizan principalmente dos maneras de realizar estos cálculos con el fin de proponer un diseño óptimo desde el punto de vista del costo de la construcción de una manera rápida y confiable dependiendo de las condiciones del problema. Primero se analiza el procedimiento basado en aplicar un plano de empuje inclinado en el muro y luego se realiza un análisis que corresponde a un plano de empuje vertical al muro.
Además, se analizan las posibles fuerzas que pueden actuar en una estructura de contención con el fin de dar una explicación clara.
También se analiza un problema geotécnico mediante los dos métodos estudiados (plano inclinado y plano vertical), para un mejor entendimiento de los resultados, el cual da como resultado el método que de una manera es más confiable y en el que se basa la optimización del costo de construcción de estas estructuras. Una vez analizado el método en que se basa el diseño óptimo (es el que corresponde a un plano de empuje inclinado), se debe analizar la orientación que puede tener la estructura (escalonamiento interior o exterior).
También se realiza una planilla de diseño básica de cálculo, en la cual se puede entrar por medio de los parámetros del problema para obtener una recomendación de una solución rápida. Es recomendable verificar los resultados obtenidos, mediante la planilla de Excel que se implementó para el cálculo de estructuras de contención en base a gaviones. Por medio de esta planilla también se pueden realizar cambios en el diseño por si la solución recomendada no cumple con los requisitos.
Cabe destacar que para obtener un costo de construcción óptimo se debe tener en cuenta factores que inciden en el mismo, como por ejemplo la orientación de la estructura, ángulo de inclinación de la estructura y el material a remover para la construcción de la estructura.
The earth retaining structures are varied elements, whose purpose is the stability of natural or artificial slopes. The Gabion retaining structures is a useful approach for addressing purpose and that is an economical altemative and simple to build. This document compiles information about the analysis and design of retaining structures based on gabions. Discusses primarily two ways to perform these calculations to propose a design optimal from the standpoint of the cost of construction of a quick and reliable way depending on the conditions of the problem. First we analyze the procedure based on applying a plane inclined thrust on the wall and then an analysis which corresponds to a plane of vertical thrust to the wall. In addition, we analyze the forces that can act in a containment structure to give a clear explanation. Also discusses a geotechnical problem by the two methods studied (inclined plane and vertical plane), for a better understanding of the results, which results in a method which is more reliable manner and which is based optimization cost of building these structures. Having analyzed the method on which the optimal design (is that corresponding to a plane inclined thrust), one should analyze the orientation that may have the structure (interior or exterior scaling). lt also performs a basic design template calculation, which can enter through the parameters of the problem to obtain a recommendation for a quick fix. You should check the results obtained by the Excel spreadsheet that was implemented for calculating containment structures based on gabions. Through this form you can also make changes in design if the recommended solution does not meet the requirements.
