dc.description.abstractObjetivo: Este proyecto de investigación tiene como objetivo determinar si existen diferencias sobre el conocimiento entre madres con enseñanza media y enseñanza superior, con relación a malos hábitos orales en niños atendidos odontológicamente. Material y métodos: Se contó con un total de 90 participantes donde inicialmente se hizo que cada uno de ellos firmará un consentimiento informado. Posterior a esto se aplicaron los criterios de inclusión y exclusión. La primera muestra constituida por 30 madres fue para verificar si las preguntas del cuestionario no inducían a interpretación errónea, para en una segunda oportunidad volver a aplicar el cuestionario a 60 madres más. Esta recolección de información se realizó mediante un cuestionario de siete preguntas de respuesta cerrada, con escala básica del uno al siete. La información resultante fue depositada en una planilla Excel que clasificó los resultados de cada pregunta por sujeto. Resultados: Los resultados de la prueba de chi-cuadrado no fueron significativas (p>0,05) en casi todas las preguntas, lo cual se puede interpretar que no existe asociación entre las dos variables estudiadas, nivel educacional medio y superior. Sus correspondientes CC resultaron con valores pequeños y no significativos (p>0,05) y revelan una asociación débil entre las variables examinadas. Conclusiones: No existen diferencias respecto a conocimiento sobre malos hábitos orales en madres con educación media y educación superior universitaria y/o técnico profesional.
dc.description.abstractObjective: This research project aims to determine if there are differences in knowledge between mothers with secondary education and higher education, in relation to bad oral habits in children treated dentally. Material and methods: There were a total of 90 participants where initially each of them was made to sign an informed consent. After this, the inclusion and exclusion criteria were applied. The first sample made up of 30 mothers was to verify whether the questions did not lead to erroneous interpretation, in order to reapply the questionnaire to 60 more mothers on a second occasion. This information collection was carried out through a questionnaire with seven closed-ended questions, with a basic scale from one to seven, the resulting information was deposited in an excel spreadsheet that classified the results of each question by subject by row. Results: The results of the chi-square test were not significant (p>0.05) in almost all questions, which can be interpreted that there is no association between the two variables studied, middle and higher educational level. Their corresponding CC resulted in small and non-significant values (p>0.05) and revealed a weak association between the variables examined. Conclusions: There are no differences regarding knowledge about bad oral habits in mothers with secondary education and higher university education and/or professional technician.en
