Resumen
Esta investigación, realizada en la comuna de Quilleco, en la población San Lorencito, consiste en la habilitación de un área natural de interés como potencial atractivo turístico y recurso natural de esparcimiento, inserto en una localidad rural rodeada de amenazas tanto de las empresas forestales que predominan en el territorio, como de las malas prácticas de higiene e incendios provocados en los alrededores.
Se plantearon los objetivos de identificar los distintos recursos naturales y atractivos turísticos para tener una base tangible del potencial del territorio, además de instalar equipamientos para uso de la comunidad, definir rutas turísticas y material interpretativo para futuros proyectos. Todo esto sumado a la realización de talleres y actividades en conjunto con la comunidad para fomentar la conciencia natural del territorio.
Se lograron buenos resultados encontrando más de 30 especies tanto de flora y de avifauna, 3 atractivos naturales presentes en el territorio y además, se crea material didáctico para el uso de la comunidad y del municipio.
Se instala equipamiento correspondiente a letreros informativos reciclando la madera presente en las instalaciones de la población, y se realizaron los talleres en conjunto con el municipio y otras organizaciones que deriva en varias ideas para el desarrollo ecoturístico de la localidad. Se realizan también una encuesta que refleja el sentido de pertenencia y empoderamiento de la comunidad por el cuidado y preservación de su territorio.
This research, conducted in the commune of Quilleco, in the San Lorencito population,involves the development of a natural area of interest as a potential tourist attraction and a natural recreation resource, embedded in a rural locality surrounded by threats from both the forestry companies that dominate the territory and the poor hygiene practices and fires deliberately caused in the surroundings. The objectives outlined include the identification of various natural resources and tourist attractions to establish a tangible basis for the territory's potential. Additionally, there is a goal to install equipment for community use, define tourist routes, and create interpretative material for future projects. All of this is complemented by the implementation of workshops and activities in collaboration with the community to promote environmental awareness in the territory. Positive results were achieved by identifying over 30 species of both flora and avifauna, as well as three natural attractions in the area. Furthermore, didactic material was developed for the benefit of both the community and the municipality. The necessary equipment, such as informative signs, was installed using recycled wood from local facilities. Workshops were conducted in collaboration with the municipality and other organizations, leading to numerous ideas for the ecotouristic development of the locality. A survey was also conducted, reflecting a sense of belonging and empowerment within the community regarding the care and preservation of their territory.
