Esta investigación indagó en las estrategias metodológicas y evaluativas aplicadas durante el primer
semestre de 2016 en las asignaturas Lengua Inglesa V y Lengua Inglesa VII del I.P. EATRI con el
objetivo de diseñar un plan de mejoramiento de éstas para facilitar su desarrollo en aula como parte de la
innovación curricular que el instituto ha estado incentivando.
El estudio sigue un diseño cualitativo de investigación acción, en el que se recogen opiniones de
estudiantes, profesores e informantes claves mediante diversos instrumentos, los que permiten al
investigador tener una visión global del problema.
En general, las estrategias estudiadas poseen fortalezas, tales como una adecuada contextualización en los
programas de estudio, pertinencia en relación a los objetivos programáticos, integración de competencias
conceptuales, procedimentales y actitudinales, y una evaluación holística tanto de los productos como de
los procesos. Las debilidades encontradas, mismas que se pretenden subsanar en el plan de mejora
planteado, se relacionan con la sistematicidad de la retroalimentación durante el proceso y el impacto en
los estudiantes de algunos instrumentos evaluativos aplicados.
This research project looks at the methodological and assessment strategies applied during the first semester of 2016 in the courses English Language V and English Language VII at I.P. EATRI, with the objective of designing an improvement plan that will facilitate their development in the classroom as part of innovation in the curriculum which the institution has been fostering. The study uses a qualitative framework of action research, gathering the points of view of students, teachers and key informants through an array of instruments, which allow the researcher to have a comprehensive view of the problem. In general, the strategies studied have strengths such as an appropriate contextualization in the study programs, pertinence in relation to the objectives of the programs, an integration of conceptual, procedural and attitudinal contents, as well as a holistic evaluation of both processes and products. The weaknesses found, which will be addressed and hopefully improved with the plan presented, are related to the systematicity of feedback during the process and the impact that some of the instruments had on the students.
