El presente artículo expone los resultados de un estudio de caso que analizó los métodos de enseñanza de la novela utilizados por los docentes en octavo básico de 4 establecimientos tradicionales y un CEIA1 en la comuna de San Ramón, Chile. Los datos se obtuvieron mediante entrevistas semi-estructuradas de 15 a 20 minutos en una población de seis profesores. Los resultados arrojaron que los métodos de enseñanza son implementados a partir de las dificultades que los docentes experimentan durante su labor, estableciéndose tres niveles. Asimismo, de acuerdo al tipo de dificultad cada docente pone el foco de la enseñanza en un aspecto diferente, que por su parte, contiene una concepción particular de la novela.
This paper explains the results of a case study focused on teaching methods of the novel used by teachers currently working on Eighth Grade in four traditional schools and one CEIA2, all of them located in San Ramón, Santiago of Chile. The information was obtained through semi-structured interviews of 15 to 20 minutes each, from a group of six teachers. The results showed that teaching methods are implemented based on difficulties that teachers experience during their work, finding three levels. Also, according to the type of difficulty, the focus of each teacher will lay on a different aspect, which by itself contains a specific conception of the novel.
