Background: It is important to determine the importance of Urinary Incontinence (UI) in this aging population at a global and national level. Objective: To identify the prevalence of UTI and its association with quality of life (QL) in elderly patients, from the Dr. Carlos Godoy Family Health Center. Method: First, to estimate the prevalence, this study is of descriptive observational type of transversal design, and second, for the association of observational analytical type with transversal design. The study was carried out in 88 older adults of the Dr. Carlos Godoy Family Health Center of the Maipú commune. Seuss the Mini-Examination of mental state, international consultation on incontinence. Short form to determine the prevalence of UI and the World Health Organization BREF quality of life to determine the CV. The variables studied, such as height and weight, blood pressure and heart rate, were obtained by means of balance and stadiometer, and sphygmomanometer and pulse oximeter, respectively; diagnosis of arterial hypertension, consumption and quantity of drugs, quantity and type of delivery in women, were obtained verbally; consumption of tobacco and alcohol through alcohol, smoking and screening for the participation of substances. The data obtained were interpreted using Stata 12. Results: The total sample was 88 people (71 women and 17 men), with an average age of 70.7 (6.5 SD) years, 48 (54.5%) presentation Urinary Incontinence in the last four weeks Of these 43 (89.6%) were women and 5 (10.4%) were men. When analyzing the UI variables with CV, it was determined that there is no statistically significant association between the variables (p = 0.833). Conclusion: This study determined that there is no statistically significant association between the presence of UI and CV.
