El terapeuta ocupacional es el profesional encargado del bienestar ocupacional, evalúa y valora los distintos ámbitos cotidianos, como lo es la participación ocupacional vinculada al contexto socioambiental de la vida de una persona. Es por ello, que, en esta investigación se pretendió comprender cómo se vivencia la participación ocupacional de los y las adolescentes de 12 a 15 años a través del uso de redes sociales durante la pandemia por COVID-19. Para ello, se situó desde un paradigma interpretativo, con una metodología cualitativa, entendiendo la diversidad de las realidades de las y los participantes, para relacionar las perspectivas y experiencias de las y los adolescentes vinculados con las redes sociales.
Lo central dentro de la investigación, es comprender la participación ocupacional del grupo investigado, enfocándose en los procesos de esa etapa, acompañado de aspectos como estigmas en redes sociales relacionados a los valores, la imagen social, entre otros aspectos que conforman la identidad personal y ocupacional. Junto a ello, se destacan cambios en el desempeño ocupacional de las y los usuarios adolescentes de redes sociales.
The occupational therapist is the professional in charge of occupational wellbeing, evaluating and assessing the different daily areas, such as occupational participation linked to the socio-environmental context of a person's life. For this reason, this research aimed to understand how the occupational participation of adolescents between 12 and 15 years of age is experienced through the use of social networks during the COVID-19 pandemic. To do so, it was based on an interpretative paradigm, with a qualitative methodology, understanding the diversity of the participants' realities, in order to relate the perspectives and experiences of adolescents linked to social networks. The focus of the research is to understand the occupational participation of the research group, focusing on the processes of this stage, along with aspects such as stigmas in social networks related to values, social image, among other aspects that shape personal and occupational identity. In addition, changes in the occupational performance of adolescent users of social networks are highlighted.
