Resumen
Este proyecto es una aplicación de una metodología educativa que nace en base de la
necesidad de mejorar el ecoturismo en la comuna de Melipeuco, en la IX región de la
Araucanía, ya que esta comuna posee un gran potencial turístico, pero está amenazada con
proyectos de piscicultura, centrales de paso y deforestación, que están en contra de un
progreso ligado al medio ambiente, por esto, se creó un modelo de educación ambiental,
enfocado en alumnos de los colegios de la zona, a los cursos de Sto y 6to básico para poder
crear una conciencia ambiental de toda la riqueza ecosistémica que poseen, de manera de
poder comprender de manera holística, es decir enseñándola como un todo, desde lo más
macro que son los procesos geológicos hasta lo más micro, que son los micro bosques, en
donde se le enseñará al alumno como poder desenvolverse en su medio ambiente y poder
aprovecharlo mejor.
"Lo que no conozco, no lo amo", frase de la metodología de ecología de campo, que
significa que muchas personas no cuidan su medio ambiente porque no lo conocen, por lo
que es muy importante que los miembros de la comunidad de Melipeuco sepan lo que
poseen, y la mejor manera de poder incidir en un lugar, es comenzando con los más
pequeños, para que el cambio sea de mente y no tan solo por un bienestar económico.
Dentro de la metodología se incluye un trabajo dentro de la sala de clases y otro en el
exterior, donde se realizarán actividades que promuevan el propio descubrir, y así formar
un aprendizaje significativo para ellos.

"What 1 don' t know, 1 do n' t love it'', this is a phrase of the methodo logy of Fi eld Ecology, whicb means that many people don't care about tb eir environment because they did not know it, so it is very important that thc members of the community of Melipeuco know what they have, and the best way to have an impact on a place, it is s tarting with the smaller, to make th e change of mind and not just by an economic wcllb eing.
