La hipoacusia es la pĆ©rdida de la capacidad auditiva. Los audĆfonos y/o implantes
cocleares son las ayudas existentes para quienes padecen algĆŗn tipo de
discapacidad auditiva. Una de las Ɣreas mƔs importantes en la hipoacusia infantil
es el Ɣmbito escolar. El presente estudio pretende caracterizar la escolaridad de un
grupo de 34 de usuarios pertenecientes al programa de la Junta Nacional de
Auxilio Escolar y Becas (JUNAEB) del Hospital Doctor Luis Calvo Mackenna
(HLCM). Los resultados arrojan una positiva reinserción en los establecimientos
educacionales regulares y/o con proyecto de integración, ademÔs de rendimientos
estÔndares respecto a sus compañeros normoyentes. Se sugiere mayor inversión
de recursos económicos y humanos en la integración escolar. El programa
JUNAEB-HLCM fomenta la integración de los alumnos implantados a lo largo del
paĆs y los resultados avalan el Ć©xito en sus objetivos principales.
Hearing loss is a decrease in hearing. Hearing aids and / or cochlear implants are the existing aids for those who have some type of hearing impairment. One of the most important areas in childhood hearing loss is the school setting. The present study aims to characterize the schooling of a group of 34 users belonging to the program of the National Board of School Help (JUNAEB) of the Hospital Doctor Luis Calvo Mackenna (HLCM). The results show a positive reintegration in the regular educational establishments and/or with project of integration, besides standard returns with respect to its normoyentes companions. Further investment of economic and human resources in school integration is suggested. The JUNAEB-HLCM program promotes the integration of the students implanted throughout the country and the results shake the success in its main objectives.
