Significado de la experiencia de crianza para padres y madres adolescentes en los años 2020-2021

La crianza por parte de padres y madres adolescentes es un tema que no ha recibido la
atención que merece. Debido a esto, se realiza este análisis, el cual se llevó a cabo mediante
los resultados obtenidos de una serie de siete entrevistas a hombres y mujeres que se
encontraron en esta situación de embarazo adolescente donde, también tuvieron que
enfrentar un proceso de crianza en los años de pandemia, en los cuales se centra la presente
investigación.
La investigación fue de tipo cualitativa donde el objetivo principal fue analizar el significado y
la forma en la que se desarrolla el ejercicio de la crianza desde una perspectiva de género en
madres y padres adolescentes en los años 2020-2021, para lo cual se puso el foco en el relato
de la experiencia de estos padres y madres, tocando temas relacionados a sus procesos de
crianza, a sus redes de apoyo y a los roles de género.
Este análisis llega para establecer una pincelada al tema, pues se comprende que el mayor
énfasis se encuentra en los métodos de prevención del embarazo, más que en el ejercicio de
la crianza como tal, donde en los hallazgos principales de esta investigación en los tres ejes
principales se dividen en aspectos relacionados a crianza, donde los padres adolescentes se
informan sobre cómo criar y velar por el bienestar de sus hijos/as. En redes de apoyo, como
estas se tensionan ante la noticia del embarazo adolescente y como la crisis sanitaria afecta
las redes que estos padres reciben. Por último, destaca cómo estos adolescentes que fueron
padres comprenden la importancia de la repartición de tareas sin importar los roles, y a su
vez como esta no siempre es igualitaria en todos los casos. En este marco, se intentó dar
respuesta a una pregunta clave a la hora de investigar y analizar la experiencia de hombres y
mujeres que se convirtieron en padres siendo adolescentes, incluso en algunos casos donde
el padre biológico no forma parte, sino que es una nueva pareja quien asume el rol de figura
paterna, y es que para guiar esta investigación, se hizo la pregunta: ¿cuál es el significado que
le otorgan los padres y madres adolescentes a su experiencia de crianza de hijas e hijos en el
periodo 2020-2021?
Parenting by adolescent fathers and mothers is a topic that has not received the attention it deserves. Because of this, this analysis is carried out through the results obtained from a series of 7 interviews with men and women who found themselves in this situation of teenage pregnancy where they also had to face a parenting process during the pandemic years, which is the focus of this research. The research was of a qualitative type where the main objective is to analyze the meaning and the way in which the exercise of parenting is developed from a gender perspective in adolescent mothers and fathers in the years 2020-2021, for which the focus was placed on the account of the experience of these fathers and mothers, touching on issues related to their parenting processes, their support networks and gender roles. This analysis provides an overview of the topic, since it is understood that the main emphasis is on pregnancy prevention methods, rather than on the exercise of parenting as such, where the main findings of this research in the three main axes are divided into aspects related to parenting, where teenage parents are informed about how to raise and care for the welfare of their children. In support networks, how these are strained by the news of teenage pregnancy, and how the health crisis affects the support networks that these parents receive. Finally, it highlights how these adolescents who were parents understand the importance of sharing tasks regardless of roles, and how this is not always equal in all cases. In this framework, an attempt was made to answer a key question when researching and analyzing the experience of men and women who became parents as adolescents, even in some cases where the biological father is not part of the family, but a new partner assumes the role of father figure, and to guide this research, the question was asked: what is the meaning that adolescent fathers and mothers give to their experience of raising children in the period 2020-2021?
