Libertador General Bernardo O’Higgins.
ciencias naturales.
The aim of this investigation is carry out the interrelationship that exists between the classroom environment and the academic performance of 2nd graders. Specifically, in science. This study has the characteristic of being a cross-sectional descriptive design, in which different educational realities are observed and the interactions that are produced in the classroom; because there it is built the teaching-learning process between the teacher and the students. For that, two instrument were used that contributed the necessary information for the investigation: The application of the test of techniques of classroom interaction by Ned Flanders. Besides, the application of an evaluation of the students´ academic progress. This inquiry produces through the results, a demonstration of the incidence that the teacher has in the classroom environment, as a promoter in the effective educational practices that affect the student’s academic performance in science.
