Corresponde al estudio de un tipo de capa asfáltica denominada Cape Seal, empleado
sólo como pavimento de caminos con bajo volumen de tránsito, que se utilizó como
sello de un Doble Tratamiento Superficial existente en un camino de la VII Región.
Solución alternativa de otras aplicaciones asfálticas tales como Tratamientos
Superficiales y Lechadas Asfálticas.
El Cape Seal fusiona estas dos últimas, sellando en forma más eficiente la superficie
asfáltica, combinando las ventajas y funciones que tienen estas dos técnicas en forma
individual.
Se analizaron las dosificaciones por separado y en conjunto para definir los ajustes
necesarios, para lo cual se determinó en laboratorio la afinidad del par emulsión
asfáltica - árido, y la dosificación de los mismos.
Para la Lechada Asfáltica se utilizaron procedimientos experimentales como el ECK,
Cono Consistencia, Caracterización del Curado de Lechada mediante el Cohesiómetro
Modificado, Método de Abrasión en Medio Húmedo, y Rueda de carga.
Se definieron métodos de calibración para los equipos empleados, se establecieron
procedimientos constructivos y de control, para ser empleados en un Plan de
Aseguramiento de Calidad.
Se confeccionó planilla para llevar avances y rendimientos tanto puntuales como
históricos.
Se analizan fallas y se recomiendan acciones para evitarlas tanto para el tratamiento
como para la lechada.
Para las dosificaciones se analizan los distintos parámetros, sus rangos y métodos de
control.
It is realitive to the study of an asphaltic cape called "Cape Seal", used just as road pavement with low traffic volume, that it was used as double superficial treatment seal that exist in a road of the Vll region. Alternative solution of other asphaltics applications as superficial treatments and asfaltics emulsion. The Cape Seal fusionate this last two, sealing in the most efficient way the asfaltic superficial mixing the advantage and functions that these two tecnics have in an individual way. The dosage it was analyzed by separate and mixed to define the necessaries and justment, to these it was determinate in the lab the affinity of the asfaltic emulsion — arid pair, and the dosage of these last two. To the asfaltic emulsion it was used experimental methods as the ECK, Consistency Cone, Characterization of the Emulsion Hardened interceding, the Modified Cohesion meter, Half Humid Abrasion Method, Load Wheel. Calibration method were defined to the equipment that used, constructive and control procedements were established to be used in a Quality Securing Plan. A list was created to carry all the advance and yield. Any kind of fails was analyzed and actions to avoid them were recommended to the treatment and the emulsion.
