To carry out an optimization proposal in the carry and move stages of the Cerro Casale project, information was initially collected on the possible causes that affected productivity at the different mining sites in Chile, also complementing the information with benchmarking and comparing Chile in multiple parameters with high productivity international tasks and considering the actions that these have implemented to be on the podium. Then the operational background of the Cerro Casale was to review, analyzing the equipment used for the operation of cargo and transportation, evaluating their ASARCO indexes and focusing on implementing better technologies, which is what the countries with better productivity had done today. Finally, having chosen the equipment with the best technologies in the optimization proposal, the equipment was evaluated by calculating the ASARCO mechanical mining indices and compared with the results of the initial equipment, to assess how positive the proposal was, achieving for the loading stage an increase of 0.48% in its effective use, a decrease in its operational losses and in its reserve time by 0.06% and 0.31% respectively, in addition to an increase in 41 effective hours at year and for the transport stage, an increase of 9.05% in its effective use was achieved, a decrease in its operational losses of 0.67% and 1.37% in its reserve time and an increase of 325 effective hours per year. Additionally, the optimization proposal was economically evaluated through a cash flow and recommendations for the implementation and operation of the proposed equipment were established.
