Resumen
Durante los últimos años, diversos movimientos sociales han salido a las calles exigiendo numerosas demandas. En este sentido, los movimientos educacionales han adquirido significativa relevancia en la agenda pública, situándose como importantes actores sociales dentro de la vida social y política de Chile. La educación, se posiciona como fenómeno de interés y se comienza a discutir en torno a ella, entendiéndose que ésta se emplaza como principal agente socializador de niños, niñas y jóvenes. De esta forma, el rol docente asume un papel importante en la formación de los y las estudiantes, sobre todo cuando Chile atraviesa por un proceso de transformación ciudadana. A partir de lo anterior, el ejercicio investigativo busca conocer las percepciones docentes en relación al desarrollo de la ciudadanía en contextos escolares, y cómo los diversos escenarios sociales permiten u obstaculizan tal desarrollo.
Over the last years, several social movements have taken to the streets demanding numerous demands. In this regard, educational movements have acquired significant relevance on the public agenda, positioning itself as important social actors inside the social and political life in Chile. Education, positions itself as a phenomenon of interest and it begins to discuss about it, being understood that is placed as a main socializing agent of boys, girls and young people. In this way, the role of teachers assume an important part in the formation of the students, especially when Chile is going through a process of citizen transformation. From the above, the research exercise seek to know the teaching perceptions in relation to the development of the citizenship in school contexts, and how the different social scenarios allow or block such development.
