Voluntariado en Chile a partir de los principios que propone el voluntariado moderno de AIESEC en las organizaciones Desafío Levantemos Chile, Gesta y Hogar de Cristo

Abstract

El voluntariado se constituye hoy como una de las fuerzas vivas para contribuir al desarrollo social según la ONU. De igual manera, es una de los elementos fundamentales dentro de un gran número organizaciones sin fines de lucro, debido al aporte que estas entregan en la solución de problemáticas que afectan a la comunidad. Su creciente auge hace necesario comprender que éste ha ido cambiando a lo largo del tiempo en su quehacer, conociéndose en un principio como trabajos más asistenciales-filantrópicos para pasar a un trabajo más sistémico o una filantropía en transformación. En este contexto es que surge la necesidad de analizar si en Chile el voluntariado está teniendo esta transformación con respecto a su quehacer , la cual se verá ejemplificado a través de tres organizaciones chilenas( Gesta, Desafío Levantemos Chile, Hogar de Cristo) y AIESEC, siendo esta última la que imparte este tipo de voluntariado moderno.

Volunteering is constituted today as one of the living forces to contribute to the social development according to the ONU. In the same way, it’s one of the fundamental elements of a great number of non profit organizations, due to the input they give in solution to problems that affect the community. Their growing boom makes it necessary to understand that this has been changing over time as to their work. In the beginning they were known for more assistance jobs- philanthropial to then move on to more systematic jobs or a philanthropy in transformation. In this context emerges the need to analyze if the volunteering in Chile is having this transformation with respects to their work, which will be exemplified through three Chilean organizations (Gesta, Desafío Levantemos Chile, Hogar de Cristo) and AIESEC, this last being the one that impacts this type of modern volunteering.
