El desarrollo de este proyecto de titulo se centra en una evaluación técnico económica de la
implementación de una planta de impregnación a presión de madera, para ello se realizo
una caracterización de la estructura y funcionamiento del mercado en el cual estará inserta
la comercialización de las maderas impregnadas, se determinaron los requerimientos
técnicos para cumplir con los distintos niveles de producción, se identificaron y
cuantificaron los efectos de la aplicación de maderas impregnadas en la industria de la
construcción, en la delimitación de predios agrarios a través de polines, postes para el
tendido eléctrico, muebles de exterior y juegos de entretención. Por último se efectuó una
evaluación económica - financiera de la producción de maderas impregnadas a presión.
En lo que se refiere a la industria de las maderas impregnadas en Chile, esta se encuentra
concentrada entre la V y X región, pues es aquí donde existe la mayor forestación de Pino
Radiata que es la especie de madera más utilizada en la impregnación. La producción de
maderas impregnadas está orientada principalmente a satisfacer la demanda en el mercado
nacional, lo que no limita la opción de penetrar otros mercados.
La demanda de madera impregnada es creciente en el tiempo, ya que la cantidad
demandada es proporcional a la producción de Pino Radiata, además esta curva se ajusta a
la demanda histórica a través de una proyección realizada con una línea de tendencia poli
nómica la cual obtiene un 96,67% de similitud con los datos de origen.
Para la realización de la evaluación económica del proyecto se considera un horizonte de
evaluación de 10 años con un precio máximo de 5, 95 UF/m3. La tasa de descuento se
calculó a través del modelo CAPM. Bajo estos supuestos, se tiene que la inversión inicial
total es de 4579,65 UF con un periodo de recuperación de 4 a 7 años dependiendo del grado
de sensibilidad que se haya considerado. Luego el valor actual neto del proyecto puro es de
922,43 UF y la tasa interna de retorno corresponde al 13%
